Coastal Escapes

From windswept clifftops and steep-sided coves, to long surf beaches and calm sheltered bays, the South Australian coastline is truly spectacular. The environment teems with thousands of bird species and sea life, including seals, dolphins and whales. Kangaroo Island is perhaps the jewel in the crown, with rare wildlife in picturesque settings.

Adelaide has a special relationship with its dolphin population. Swim with dolphins from a sailing catamaran, kayak alongside them amongst the mangroves, or take a dolphin-spotting cruise on the Port River.

The Eyre Peninsula is packed with adventure experiences. Cage dive with great white sharks, surf cactus beach, swim with feeding tuna or sea lions. For something a little more leisurely, follow the seafood trail and taste some local delicacies.

The Limestone Coast, Fleurieu Peninsula and Yorke Peninsula are also action packed. Fishing and boating, skydiving, joy flights and scuba diving are common activities. Want to visit Kangaroo Island? Set sail aboard Kangaroo Island Sailing’s “Lady Eugenie”, a 21-metre classic ketch.
