In an edge-of-your-seat finish, Australian Adam Scott has taken the PGA Honda Classic title in Palm Beach, Florida.
Runner up Sergio Garcia finished just one stroke behind Scott, who finished on an overall 9-under score to secure the win. It is the first time he has won the Honda Classic.
In a nail-biting final round, both Scott and Garcia bogeyed on the 16th hole, but it was Scott who came out triumphant, after a near perfect shot on the 17th to retain his one stroke lead.
The tournament is Scott’s 12th PGA tour win, but his first since 2014. It is the first tournament he has won since the new rules banning his preferred broomstick putter began this year.
The win may see the world number 13 re-enter the top 10 ranks and has certainly reminded the world he is a player to be reckoned with. Congratulations Adam!
